Fundraise at your school

  • Sing for Supper – Host an afternoon or evening of music with your school friends. What a wonderful way to come together as a group, learn music and then invite friends and family to come along to a concert?
  • Work of Art – have an art competition in class.
  • Enterprise Challenge – great way of teaching your pupils some business lessons whilst raising money for charity. Have pupils split off into groups and create their own business idea and name, then encourage a competition to see which team can raise the most money as possible for Edinburgh Food Project from their enterprise!
  • Disco – Transform the school hall with some lights and speakers and charge for tickets. Invite some other local schools to join the fun!
  • Dodge Ball Tournament – give a prize at the end with awards for most creative dodger and ‘sports person of the game’!
  • Fun Run – Why not find a circular route (or use a playground or playing field) and ask children to pledge how many laps they’re willing to do? We can provide sponsorship forms for children who want to take part.
  • Sponsored Silence – a classic, but always a challenge
  • Book Sale – encourage children to bring in books they’ve finished reading and place them out for sale! Or why not a book swap where you pay a £1 and can swap any book you like for another new read?
  • Treasure Hunt – theme it according to the season
  • School Olympics – take inspiration from Team GB and set up your own school Olympics covering everything from long jump to table tennis! Great way of getting everyone involved in a sport or activity that suits them.
  • Dance competition – get the children to come up with their own routines and encourage family and friends to come watch. Why not sell refreshments on the night as well to raise some extra funds?
  • Super Hero Day – dress up as your favourite superhero
  • Pyjama Day – Let students come to school in their favourite pyjamas!
  • Healthy Habits – Have a stand with healthy food for sale
  • Bake sale – bake cookies, scones and biscuits and host your bake sale.
  • Sponsored challenges – Your group could undertake any number of challenges to raise funds. You could get sponsored for a run, a swim, a sponsored silence or even a read-a-thon.
  • Celebration Cards – children can create their own Easter and/or Christmas cards to hang around the school or give to staff/parents in return for a small donation
