We have two new vacancies at Edinburgh Food Project.

Community Hub Co-ordinator

We are looking for a Community Hub Co-ordinator to join our team. The role would suit a dynamic, diplomatic person with excellent people and relationship building skills who is a natural problem-solver.

The Community Hub is Edinburgh Food Project’s brand-new service. The Community Hub brings together our foodbank centre, Money Advice Service, and More Than Food partners to provide our clients free, holistic, and accessible support all under one roof. We are partnering with the Thistle Foundation to offer our services from their Wellbeing Centre in Craigmillar.

This is a new position and will be integral to the success of our Community Hub. The Community Hub Co-ordinator will ensure the smooth and safe running of the Hub and provide a welcoming environment for all its users. They will work closely with Edinburgh Food Project’s Food Provision Manager and Money Advice Service Manager and the Thistle Foundation team to manage day to day activities within the Hub.

Triage Adviser

We are also looking for a Triage Adviser to join our Money Advice Service. A confident, calm, and empathetic communicator with good organisational and administrative skills, you will be an important first point of contact for people accessing our services.

Our Money Advice Service is a free, impartial, and confidential service, providing specialist advice and support with benefits, debt, budgeting, energy advice, accessing grants and other support services. 

The role of Triage Adviser is to provide administrative support to the Money Advice Service and support clients by providing food bank and fuel vouchers, basic benefits checks, offering initial advice and support, and signposting to other support organisations.
