Foodbank Volunteer

2 - 3 hours per week
Role
To support the delivery of our food banks in local communities by providing a welcoming and supportive environment for people in crisis. Volunteers will ensure food parcels are distributed appropriately, and the food bank centre is well maintained and resourced.
Typical Tasks
- Providing a warm welcome to people coming to the food bank.
- Provide food parcels tailored to household sizes and dietary requirements.
- Provide a listening ear and signpost to additional support services where appropriate.
- Arranging tables, chairs, signage. There may be some physical labour involved.
- Work with a volunteer team to provide the service.
