Mental Health and Wellbeing project coming to an end.
Our Mental Health and Wellbeing Project comes to an end on 31 March 2022. We would like to thank our funder, the Scottish Government for their patience and support throughout the pandemic. We would also like to thank our partners, One Parent Families Scotland, Health in Mind and Salvation Army for sensitively delivering client centred and client led services on our behalf.
Feedback from clients:
“This was the first experience I have ever had in a group scenario for mental health support. I have always been put off group work as I feel more comfortable on a 1-2-1 basis, but this group was great. I think the benefit was because it was a closed group and delivered in a very friendly, relaxed and informal way. “
“This group has allowed me to feel free to open up about my mental health challenges and to explore my feelings in a safe space.”
“After the lockdowns my anxiety was sky high and I was struggling to get out and about again! Joining the walking group meant I could push myself to get out, get fresh air and a bit exercise with a group of people who know what it is like to be a single parent ie going through similar struggles!”
“Thanks for this today, was so good to get stuff out”
“I’ve loved this group! It’s better than the professional support I’ve received because it’s real. It’s relaxed and informal and I feel safe sharing my experiences. I’ve also made friends and feel I can come here whenever I’m struggling on my own”
“I really appreciate it. This has helped me a lot. The counsellor is a lovely person. Please let her know that I’m coping well for the time being and when I have bad days I always remember the chats we had.”
“It was nice trying something new and really helped me to take time out and relax! M (leader) was fantastic at guiding us through it! I really feel that it has helped with my stress levels and I will now try to incorporate into my day as I know that the more you do it the greater the benefits!”
Feedback from EFP Volunteer/ Peer Supporter
“I’ve become more interested in mental health topics. I’ve started listen regularly to a mental health podcast.-I meditated when I was younger and it’d helpful me, but this had fallen away. The course has motivated me to restart meditation.
I still don’t like zoom! ?”
