Rosco McClelland and Friends partner with Edinburgh Food Project for special charity fundraiser supporting local people facing food insecurity

One of Scotland’s favourite comedians, Rosco McClelland, is bringing together a fantastic line-up of comedy talent this August for a special Fringe Benefit fundraising show in support of Edinburgh Food Project. He will be joined by Paul Hilleard, Ifrah Qureshi and Christopher Macarthur-Boyd.

Taking place during the Edinburgh Fringe on 17th August at Assembly Festival, Rosco McClelland and Friends: A Foodbank Fundraiser will raise vital funds to help people across Edinburgh who are experiencing food insecurity and financial hardship.

The event comes at a time when demand for support remains high. Last year alone, Edinburgh Food Project provided more than 18,000 emergency food parcels, supporting 5,604 adults and children across the city. Alongside emergency food, the charity’s Money Advice Service secured more than £1.5 million for people struggling to make ends meet, helping them increase their income and move towards a more stable future.

Rosco McClelland said:
“Firstly, I’d like to say…the fact that last year, over 18,000 food parcels were needed for people to survive in Edinburgh alone is abhorrent to me. The government should be the ones who are helping here, not the arts.
However, given that this is a reality, I am so glad that I am able to help raise money for families that are in need! I believe that no act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.“

The fundraising event offers Fringe audiences the opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable evening of comedy while making a tangible difference to local people facing crisis.
