We are recruiting!

Edinburgh Food Project provides emergency food supplies and support to people in crisis, while working with people, communities, and our partner agencies to address the underlying causes of food poverty. We are seeking a Referral Pathway Coordinator to join our team. This is an active and dynamic role where communication, relationship building, and organisation are key. The role would be suited to someone with excellent people and relationship skills who is persuasive, and highly skilled at presenting and facilitating. If you would take pride in being part of an organisation working to tackle poverty and food insecurity in Edinburgh, and feel you have the appropriate skills and attributes for the job, we would like to hear from you.     The Referral Pathways Project is a new initiative being run by Edinburgh Food Project and supported by the Trussell Trust.   We believe that using a foodbank should only happen in an emergency when all other support has failed. Unfortunately, for a variety of reasons, this is not always the case, and many people find themselves referred to the foodbank where other more appropriate help was available.   Over the next 2 years Edinburgh Food Project will be undertaking a series of initiatives to work with our myriad referral partners to improve the pathways by which people come to us, with the aim of achieving better longer-term outcomes for people needing support. Edinburgh Food Project offers a range of benefits including generous annual leave, competitive salaries, flexible working, and training opportunities. If you are interested, please see the Job Description for further information and submit your CV and a cover letter to recruitment@edinburghfoodproject.org   Application deadline:     9am on Thursday 26 October 2023 Interview date:                Thursday 2 November 2023
